Once you are here, you will always love the unforgettable routine: waking up every morning and looking up into the thatched roof, then pulling the curtains back of the enormous french windows to get an amazing view of the ocean just 40m from the villa.
Our Villa is provided with 3 air-conditioned double en-suite bedrooms. All bedrooms are vast in large and offer large king sized beds with mosquito nets, red teak wooden floors and are tastefully designed in mustard and jade colours. The two rooms upstairs have french doors which can open out onto the balcony which passes along three sides of the house and provides spectacular views of the ocean and gardens while the bedroom downstairs has French doors as well which open out onto the verandah.
COOKING FACILITY
Villa Pao Pao provides our guests with several basic cooking facilities within the living and dining area. Meals can be prepared by your own personal cooks (affectionately known as ‘Aunties’) in a separate kitchen house just 50 meters away from the villa and will be served at your table. There applies a very small charge for this service though.
The ‘Aunties’ are able to cook delicious traditional local cuisines which are highly recommend by us. Along with that, they also are able to prepare the western food to cater for children or those without an exotic pallet. The raw food materials are bought fresh and are possibly grown in our gardens. Local fishermen bring their night catch right to the door in the following morning – check out the king prawns and squids!!.
VERANDAH
A large balcony extends along three sides of the villa on the first floor. Take a seat on the water hyacinth colonial chairs and inhale the tropical scents of the gardens.
The two en-suite bedrooms upstairs open out onto a traditional verandah where you can take in the amazing views across the bay.
POOL SIDE
There is another alternative than dipping in the sea it is lounging by your own private pool. The large pool is located just a few meter to the back of the villa and accessible through a path with plants on both side with tropical trees and flowers.
The pool itself is a tasteful moss green and provides a fantastic view of the sea. It has a deep of 8 meters. The children won't feel left out as there is a spacious spot in the pool to paddle in safely.
There are also many spots to sunbathing and umbrellas are offering welcoming shade. Small traditional huts provide for the romantic spot to sit and enjoy a glass or two. Around the pool are plenty of flowers and plants representing a tropical paradise.
OUR LANDSCAPED GARDEN
The villa is hidden in its private little Eden filled with tropical flowers and fruits as well. Brightly coloured hibiscus, palms and lemon trees are filling your very own tropical paradise. Attentive care has been taken to the plants and flowers which surely attract butterflies and other beautiful wildlife.
Fruits such as lemons, cashew nuts, pineapples, papaya and bananas are available and ready to be picked from the myriad of trees surrounding the garden.
A patio area at the back of the villa can be reached through an impressing wooden pagoda planted with jasmine, acamanda and other climbing plants.
OTHER FACILITIES
Private Beach
Your very own private beach is only 40 meters away from the verandah where you can swim safely in the calm shallow water. You may stroll up the deserted beach 1 or 2 kilometers passing an odd fisherman bringing in his catch. In the evening you can sit and enjoy a glass of wine or two and watch the tropical nightscene, the still waters and listen to the sound of cicadas.
There is your own private boat moored here should you wish to use it in a sudden.
Our Sstaffs
A well-mannered staff of 8 will always there to meet your every need during your stay at our villa. Since the beginning you are here in Lombok, the hosts Yophie and corrie will welcome you personally and get you to the villa.
Two cooks will prepare your meals in a separate annex and bring across the meals in the dining area or out in the verandah. Two gardeners tend to the flowers and fruit trees and two other maintenance staffs cover as security.
Our staffs have been well-trained to be sensitive to your need for privacy. That is our motto. The villa and gardens are absolutely all yours and this attitude will be most respected. The staffs are remarkably friendly and will chat to you to find out any requirement you might have in heart.
Private Boat
Moored on the beach there is your own private boat awaiting to take you off the island to hopping, fishing or just out onto the open bay for a spot of sunbathing.
Make yourself live and abandon yourself on one of the islands and snorkel over crystal clear water and coral every bit as impressive as the Gili reefs to the north – it is highly recommended not to tell anyone, it's so quiet and tranquil that we treat it as our own private reef.
